This TOP Line tour is ment for the Free Individual Traveler. We provide the basics: transportation and hotel accomodation. Besides this, we provide everybody that books a list of suggestions as what to do in their free time; but it’s up to you how to spend your time while in Slovenia.
Book your flight and send us your arrival details. We will pick you up at the airport and your journey to Trieste will begin no later than 2 hours after you have collected your luggage and cleared police control. You will recieve an email and an SMS from a selected share ride transportation company and take you to the doorstep of your hotel.
Trieste, a city with a special pulse of life due to it’s position on the Italian-Slovenian border, combining a mixture of cultures, dialects and customs. It boasts a beautiful main square, right by the sea. For a couple of days, change into a real “Triestino” and shape your day like this: coffee and brios in a cafe in the middle of the city in the morning, walk by the sea in the afternoon, visit Eataly for a light lunch, and late afternoon Aperol spritz by the main square or nearby flashing places. No problem if it drags on, you won’t be bored in the city even in the evening. Well, even if you take the next day to explore the surrounding area, you won’t be disappointed. We recommend a visit to Miramare Castle, which is just a few kilometers from the city.
Once you’ve gotten to know Trieste well, it’s time to set out to discover the habits of the next city. This is Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. The ride will take just over one hour. A driver will pick you up at the hotel and drop you off at the doorstep of your next hotel in Ljubljana.
Ljubljana is a city that offers everything that millions of cities around the world have to offer, while at the same time giving a sense of security, authenticity and accessibility. You will never be bored, because something interesting awaits you around every corner. You can climb to Ljubljana Castle, on foot or using a cable car. You can sail along the Ljubljanica on a riverboat and see the city from a water perspective. Or choose to visit any of the many museums, churches, galleries and cathedrals. You won’t lose anything either if you visit the central market and treat yourself to a picnic in Tivoli Park. Be sure not to miss the relaxation along the river Ljubljanica, where many restaurants offer a varied culinary choice. Renting a bike or E-scooter will only make your movements easier.
After having visited, discovered and enjoyed one capital, another follows. This time you’re off to Croatia’s capital, Zagreb.
Zagreb, which is only an hour away from Ljubljana, marks the crossroads between Eastern and Central Europe. With the diversity of the city, it offers attractions for all types of visitors. The vibrant pulse of the streets and town squares makes it special. You will also find many museums in the city, one of the most unusual being the museum of broken relationships. Interestingly, it is located right in a city whose traditional symbol is the red heart. Lectar’s heart is a souvenir without which you should not leave the city, as it brings misfortune. Well, we made that up … but, you never know why you would risk it 😊
After a week of living in the city centers, it’s time to head home. The transfer will be waiting for you in front of your accommodation at the time we inform you, no later than one day before departure.
